I feel the idea behind this exhibition fits with the artwork I am currently doing very well. This series of work is called ‘Tribe All’. Tribe All began as an idea for a street art workshop painting and producing artwork on old spray cans which would have otherwise been thrown away. Motivated by my love of street art and culture; inspired by tribal gods and ritual masks whose non-naturalistic, highly stylised forms embody powerful, highly expressive imagery the aim of my Tribe All is all about multiculturalism connecting people on a global scale.
With Tribe All I want to unify everyone regardless of age, gender, colour, cultural background, sexuality. Taking inspiration from different cultures each piece represents a different belief system. Tribe All is for all tribes – what’s yours?
In 2019 I set up a successful t-shirt brand which is inspired by this artwork.
